"Publius" was used as the pen name for the authors of the Federalist Papers promoting ratification of the Constitution of the United States. We at Treasure State Politics have adopted Publius as an occasionally-used pen name on articles which we feel are still very legitimate and worthy, but could have negative consequences for individual authors if posted under their own names.
